Welcome to Flushing Pantomime

In 1985, a group of parents of children at Flushing School put on a surprise pantomime for the children. Such was the success of the show in the Village Club that evening, a performance was held for the rest of the village. As the saying goes, 'From little acorns, great oaks grow.'

The following year the pantomime moved venue, to our very own Church hall and has been there ever since. (except 2021 due to COVID). The original casts were mainly past and present parents but are now made up of people from the village and local area. Several past pupils, who were in the early audiences have also taken part (one ex pupil still does!). Starting as "Knees Up Theater", it is now known as the "Flushing Pantomime Group". The aim of the group is, always has been and will be, to entertain and to raise as much money as possible for our local school.

In the early 90's the group entered the Cornwall Village Pantomime competitions. against some 40 other troupes in 1991 and 1994 won awards for: Best Baddie, Happiest Group, Best Comedy Song, Scenery, and Production and Innovation.

Over the years, many directors and back stage crews have shown off innovation and spectacular wizardry. With costumes being Hand Stitched, made to make us look the very best.
